Walk to the Pirate Tower

Walk to the Pirate Tower , San Miguel Visit the pirate tower of Puerto De San Miguel , its about 30 to 45 mins walk from the main beach. From the main beach you can take a small path on the left side. You will then reach a dirt road which you can choose to visit the smaller beach and restaurant or take the dirt road going up , which will take you in the direction of the pirate tower. Upon going up the road you should see a small old building with a road next to it. Follow this road and you will eventually reach the pirate tower. This Pirate is one of the few remaining towers open to the public, so you can go inside and up the narrow stairs to the top. Once on the top you will see breath taking views of San Miguel and its beautiful coast line. The Pirate tower were built 3000 years ago by the Phoenicians to watch for pirates or enemy ships approaching the Island. Now they are tourist attractions with the added bonus of a beautiful view.
